Dr. Eads specializes in the latest techniques in minimally invasive sports medicine surgery including rotator cuff repairs, labral repairs, SLAP repairs, ACL reconstruction, meniscal surgery, and Tommy John elbow repairs. Joint preservation, knee cartilage transplant, and shoulder replacements are part of his expertise as well.
Dr. Eads received a bachelor’s of science in Biology from the University of Kentucky where he graduated as Summa Cum Laude “with honors”. He graduated medical school at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine with “High Distinction” where he received an academic scholarship. After medical school he completed an Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at the prestigious Campbell Clinic in Memphis, TN where he received the Program Director’s Award 3 years in a row, followed by a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the world-renowned University of Pittsburgh Medical Center under Dr. Freddie Fu.
Dr. Eads utilizes the most up to date treatments, operative and non-operative, as well as rapid recovery protocols.
Dr. Eads is well-versed in common orthopaedic procedures such as fracture treatment and joint replacement, but with his additional training in Sports Medicine he uses the most up to date treatments, operative and non-operative, as well as rapid recovery protocols to get patients back sooner.
