Dr. Madhusudhan R. Yakkanti is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in total joint replacement of the hip and knee, as well as complex fracture and poly-trauma care. He is among a select group of surgeons trained in both anterior and posterior approaches to hip replacement and has extensive experience in managing complicated fractures and revision joint surgery.
Dr. Yakkanti completed dual fellowships in Orthopedic Trauma and Adult Reconstruction at the University of Louisville (University Hospital / Jewish Hospital). His medical degree and orthopedic residency were completed at Osmania Medical College and Osmania General Hospital in India, where he developed a strong foundation in high-volume trauma and reconstructive surgery. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS).
Dr. Yakkanti is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), Orthopaedic Trauma Association (OTA), American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS), Mid-America Orthopaedic Association, and the Kentucky Orthopaedic & Medical Associations.
